l Jiujiang Tianci New Power Materials Technology Co., LTD., May 22, Full text of the "Environmental Impact Report for the Expansion Project of Jiujiang Tianci New Power Materials Technology Co., Ltd. with an annual production capacity of 2,000 tons of lithium Difluoroxalate borate" before approval, project investment: 11.938 million RMB, of which the new environmental protection investment is about 200,000 RMB, accounting for 1.67% of the total investment. This project mainly involves the expansion and renovation of the existing 1,000 tons /a (broken-solid) lithium difluoroxalate borate production facility. After the expansion and renovation is completed, a production capacity of 2,000 tons /a (broken-solid) lithium difluoroxalate borate will be formed. This includes 5,000 t/a (converted to 1,000 t/a) of 20% lithium difluoroxalate borate methyl ethyl carbonate (EMC) solution and 5,000 t/a (converted to 1,000 t/a) of 20% lithium difluoroxalate borate ethyl acetate (MES) solution.
l Chemours, May 20, recently announced a strategic partnership with DataVolt, a sustainable digital infrastructure enterprise in Saudi Arabia, to jointly develop and promote advanced liquid cooling technology solutions to enhance the energy efficiency and sustainability of data centers. The partnership will focus on innovative technologies such as two-phase direct contact chip cooling and two-phase immersion cooling, aiming to optimize data center infrastructure to meet the growing heat dissipation demands of artificial intelligence (AI) and next-generation chips. l Jiangxi Wofu Chemical Technology Co., LTD., May 6, the Rao Municipal Ecological Environment Bureau intends to give an approval opinion on Jiangxi Wofu Chemical Technology Co., LTD. 's 90,000-t/a electronic-grade hydrofluoric acid project and make it public. The project, with an investment of 1,075 million RMB, is located in the sulfur chemical industry park of Dexing High-tech Industrial Park in Jiangxi Province. It is planned to use intermediate products such as anhydrous hydrogen fluoride, potassium permanganate, hydrogen peroxide (30%), and pure water as raw and auxiliary materials. Through processes such as pretreatment, distillation, condensation, absorption, cooling and packaging, 90,000 tons of hydrofluoric acid that meets the EL grade of "Industrial High-Purity Hydrofluoric acid" HG/T4509-2023 will be produced annually.
l Syensqo, May 15, announced a new multi-year contract with automotive original equipment manufacturers and battery manufacturers to supply battery-grade Solef® polyvinyl fluoride (PVDF) to them. The long-term contract, signed in the first quarter of 2025, has accumulated net sales of more than €150 million. These products will be delivered from Syensqo's flagship plant in Tavaux, France, using its most advanced suspended PVDF technology. The expansion of PVDF capacity at the site is expected to be completed by the end of 2025 and begin operations in 2026 to serve customers in multiple end markets, including healthcare, electronics, energy and construction industries.
l Shandong Zhongrou New Materials Co., LTD., on May 23, the Binzhou Municipal Ecological Environment Bureau accepted and made public the environmental impact report of the expansion and deep processing project (Phase I) of fluorine-containing fine chemicals of Shandong Zhongrou New Materials Co., LTD. The project mainly involves the renovation of production Unit No. 1 (producing hexafluoroisopropyl alcohol, expanding from 500 t/a to 950 t/a), the construction of production unit No. 6 (producing ethyl trifluoroacetate, 1,150 t t/a), the construction of packaging Room No. 2, the renovation of the tank farm, and the construction of auxiliary facilities. After completion, the project will produce 950 tons of hexafluoroisopropyl alcohol, 1,150 tons of ethyl trifluoroacetate and 711.27 tons of potassium hydrogen fluoride by-product.
l Guizhou Phosphate Chemical (Group) Co., LTD., May 25, during the 20th Western China International Fair, the investment promotion conference for the integration of key industries and the strengthening of industrial chains in Dazhou City and the signing ceremony of cooperation project agreements were held in Chengdu. At the ceremony, Dazhou High-tech Zone and Guizhou Phosphorus Chemical (Group) Co., Ltd. jointly signed the "Cooperation Agreement on the Phosphorus-Fluorine New Materials Circular Economy Industrial Park Project", marking the official landing of the phosphorus-fluorine new materials circular economy industrial park project with a total investment of 4 billion RMB in Dazhou High-tech Zone. The project will invest in the construction of a series of projects in Dazhou High-tech Zone, including high-purity anhydrous hydrogen fluoride, fine phosphate, comprehensive utilization of phosphogypsum, medium and high-end compound fertilizer and water-soluble fertilizer, wet electronic chemicals, logistics distribution center and smart logistics support. The project covers an area of about 800 mu and is expected to generate an annual output value of 6 billion RMB upon completion and operation.
l Shandong Dongyue Green Cold Technology Co., LTD., May 27, the environmental impact report of the 500 t/a fluorine-containing electronic specialty gas project of Shandong Dongyue Green Cold Technology Co., LTD., Huantai Branch of Zibo Municipal Ecological Environment Bureau, was made public. The project will be constructed using idle PVC feedstock and recycling facilities and pump room frames. The main construction will be a 500 t/a fluorine-containing electronic specialty gas production facility with an annual output of 200 t/a electronic-grade difluoromethane, 100 t/a electronic-grade octafluoropropane, 100 t/a electronic-grade monofluoromethane and 100 t/a r electronic-grade hexafluoroethane.
l Chengwu Yixin Environmental Protection Technology Co., LTD., May 26 The company's boron isotope separation and enrichment project has overcome two "bottleneck" technologies at one go. First, it achieved industrial mass production of high-abundance nuclear-grade boron-10 acid for the first time in China. Second, the stable mass production of high-end boron-11 electronic specialty gas (high purity, high abundance) fills the domestic market gap, injecting domestic "energy" into the semiconductor industry's self-reliance and control. Boron trifluoride-11 electronic specialty gas is known as the "blood" of chips. High-abundance and high-purity boron-11 is an important specialty gas material in the semiconductor industry such as high-end chips and panels, and its abundance and purity directly determine the yield and performance of chips. China has long relied on imports. Finally, in September 2023, the high-end boron trifluoride-11 electronic specialty gas was successfully mass-produced. This success is not just a success for a single enterprise, but another "back-up" for China's semiconductor industry. At present, Yixin Environmental Protection can stably produce boron-11 electronic specialty gas with an abundance of 99.99% and a purity of 99.999%, and boron-10 acid with an abundance of up to 99% and a purity of up to 99.95%. 's trichlorofluoroethylene and related projects and make it public. To support the extension of the tetrachloroethylene industrial chain, it is proposed to build a 10,000t /a trifluorovinyl chloride (CTFE) facility, co-produce 1,000t /a trifluoroethylene (TrFE), and build a 20,000t /a trifluorotrichloroethane (R113) facility. The project is planned to be built in two phases, with the first phase featuring a 5,000t /a CTFE unit, a 500t/a TrFE unit, and a 10,000t /a trifluorotrichloroethane (R113) unit. New TRafluoroethylene and trafluoroethylene storage tanks will be built, and the rest of the public utilities and auxiliary facilities, as well as the entire plant facilities, will rely on the existing facilities.
l Guangzhou Guanggang Gas Energy Co., Ltd. May 22,held a groundbreaking ceremony for the R&D and production project of nitrogen trifluoride electronic specialty gas and the air separation project for the second phase of the Jintong project in the Dongshan Industrial Park of Chifeng High-tech Zone. The project, which is planned to invest about 530 million RMB, will include a 3,000 t/a nitrogen trifluoride production line, public utilities, office buildings and a research and development center. After the project is completed, it will not only provide industrial gas, liquid oxygen, liquid nitrogen and liquid argon to enterprises in Dongshan Industrial Park and reduce production costs for surrounding enterprises, but also attract the agglomeration of supporting industries, boost the capacity of the new materials industry chain in Chifeng City, and provide physical support for the industrial doubling target.
